Also, back when Mercedes was in a relationship with Tesla, they built at least one Electric Drive prototype with some Tesla Roadster internals.

These things were probably as fast as those "SmartBusa" bike engine conversions.

Unfortunately, the car that made it to public hands was significantly slower, had no range, and cost half the price of the Tesla Roadster (those batteries are expensive).
